Anyone using a pentax 6x7/67/67II here? I borrowed one from school for some hours with a 90mm leaf shutter lens, so its possible to shoot 1/1000 available light and 1/500 with flashes.
The only concern I have is about shutter lag with the leaf shutter lens....
Any experience?

My friend shoots a lot of interiors/ still life on hers and loves it. I think Lindbergh used to use them too.Skate wise, I know Wig had one for about 2 weeks and then put it onto eBay. Not good for skate stuff, due to shutter speeds, but for everything else they are great.

MLU? I don`nt know, maybe for landscape but for skateboarding?
Im sure the shutterlag is not a problem for most skate shots, for fliptricks it could be a bit tricky.
Anyway its a sick camera for flashless skateshots, 1/1000 and 6x7 is nice.

Why did you ask about this??

I have one of the 6x7. A beautiful camera for everything but skating.
Shutter lag is the smallest concern. Most mf cameras have it, with the lag you learn to cope with.
The 1/1000 shutter is rubbish for skate. Flash sync even more so.
Please dont tell me that 1/1000 is ok. Its not.

oh yeah, the 6x7 format is great for skate photos. But not this camera.

usually I use it for landscape and portraits. I never tried to shoot skating with it, but I think 1/1000 with an 90mm lens should be ok. I heard that Sem Rubio is using the 67II alot for skateshots...whatever, I`ll use it 95% for landscape and portrait and if it works for skating its good if not I don`t care...
