double flash pop on the bronny below 1/30 shutter? 1 Month, 2 Weeks ago
Recently I was shooting below 1/30 with my Bronica and the flash would get triggered twice, once on the opening and once on the closing of the shutter. Is this a problem with my camera or have others had it? Easily fixable?

If you are using a Pocket Wizard plusII transciever as the transmitter, then that is your problem. I'm not sure why, but using the PlusII's as the transmitter cause the flashes to fire twice with most film Bronica's and Blads it seems. Best bet is to find an Og transmitter, or dont shoot slower than 1/30th or embrace the double flash.

Hope that helps.

it's the pw's, i thought we discussed this already?

another way to avoid it is have lumedynes that don't recycle fast enough to trigger again,

i think the reason pws do it might have to do with what makes them able to sequence, but not really sure.

if it's a long exposure like 1 second, i would try and put the camera on tripod, and just trigger the camera and pw separately, as in not have the pw attached to the camera

I have this problem also with Sq-A and PWII's. Aside from Allen's suggestion of triggering separately, you can tripod it, and right after you fire the shutter flip the transmitter off.

On the other hand, I had a photo run in SLAP a while back where the double-pop happened and worked out for the photo
