Photos for websites 1 Month, 3 Weeks ago
Ok, so a local clothing company in Colorado has asked me to shoot some photos of their team riders to be used on their website. I don't know what specifically, just on the website. Now I know this is going to sound really really noob but I really don't know how I should handle this. I don't know how much I should be asking for, like how much for the shoot and how much for the images and stuff. They're not a big company at all, just trying to break into the scene by the sounds of it, but if anyone has any tips or advice or anything I could really use it.

Web only? Like $50/photo. $100 is high.

unless you're doing paid for hire or some other deal like that, you're not going to be charging for the shoot.. you'll just charge to let them use the pictures (ie - they can use them but the pictures still belong to you)... people that are paid for their actual time to shoot are generally hired by the company on a daily/weekly/yearly basis and many times, they don't own the pictures..

fwiw, the most i ever got for a web picture was $150 but that was for well established company.. $50 per picture sounds like a good amount for an upstart company... start out higher if you want and let them talk you down to $50..
if they happen to break out a contract, make sure it clearly states that the pictures are for web use only..
